US Club Soccer has implemented two new Player Health & Safety Initiatives, which are required by all coaches prior to obtaining their US Club coach's pass. More information on this program is below.

The Sideline Sports Doc-US Club Soccer online course, as well as the new background screening application are now available for coaches and staff members registering with US Club Soccer beginning with the 2016-17 registration season. 

These are the two Player Health and Safety initiatives for registered staff members announced by US Club Soccer CEO Kevin Payne earlier this month as part of the Players First platform.

• Sideline Sports Doc-US Club Soccer online course: All coaches and staff members registering with US Club Soccer must complete the course each time a background screening is required (approximately every other year). The confirmation number you receive upon course completion must be entered into the background screening application in order to proceed.

• Background screening: US Club Soccer has substantially increased its background screening standard and transitioned the application and process to the Sport Ngin platform.
